Oh, well I guess it was about time I would start writing here. Should I introduce myself? Yes? Okay, let's go. Also, I'm going to introduce one of my favorite series: Kagerou Project.
My name is Mary Kozakura and I'm a student of English Philology at the University of Murcia. 'Where do you live?' You may ask. That is top secret information.
My hobbies? I really love watching anime (I love the fantasy genre), reading manga, listening to music (rock, metal and a lot of japanese music) and playing some videogames. Also, suring the web. I've learnt a lot of English just doing these things.
Mary Kozakura |
Now, about my nickname...it comes from Kagerou Project, an anime series which I am very fond of. Mary Kozakura is a 1/4 medusa girl who has been living alone in the forest for like 100 years. One day, she meets a boy named Kousuke Seto who becomes her first real friend. Later, they leave the forest, and she joins his gang.
I'm going to describe her design. She has very long, white hair which is decorated with pink bows in the manga; she wears a long blue dress under a white apron. Also, she has pink eyes. In the manga and other sources she goes barefeet, but in the anime she wears brown shoes.
She's very shy when meeting new people and she is not very careful.
The name of the gang is "Mekakushi Dan" (Mekakushi means Blindfold in Japanese, so they'd be called in English "The Blinfold Gang") which is composed of nine members (although there's a zero member).
From left to right: Tsubomi Kido, Kozakura Mary, Kisaragi Shintaro, Kisaragi Momo, Kokonose Haruka, Kousuke Seto, Amamiya Hibiya, Takane Enomoto, Shuuya Kano and Tateyama Ayano. |
The only condition to join the gang is to have an eye power. The only way to get an eye power is dying in pairs. So, all members are dead. In this case, Mary's eye power is petrifyng eyes, which works like the mytological medusas' powers. Although she only can petrify someone for a brief time.
Every character has a song, and in this case, Mary's song is "Imagination Forest".
It's about her past. A hundred years ago, she lived with her mother in the forest. One day, she went outside disobeying her mother advices, and then she was attacked by some violent boys. Her mother tried to saved her but finally died after pretrifying them. She lived in the house alone for like a century until a boy who got lost in the forest found her. He showed her that she wasn't alone (at least, that is my interpretation) and brought her to the city.
Well, it's time to finish this entry. I hope you liked it. I tried my best. See you soon!
I hadn't read this entry before. I like it very much because I don't know much about Japanese culture and I feel I am learning something.
