To start, I have an older sister. She's twenty-six years old, and she's studying for the University Access Exam for older than-25 years old students. In contrast, I am nineteen years old (she's seven years older than me) and I'm studying the first course of GEI. She's always concerned about her appearance, but in my case, I don't like makeup and things like that. Also, she likes latin music like bachata and reggaeton-like music, while I love rock music in English, Japanese or other languages. Another point is that she always goes out with her friends, unlike me, since I like to stay at home. To sum up, we're very different, but she usually understands my problems and she helps me in a lot of things.

New music is only a click away
To be honest, I highly despise nowaday's music, but there's still some great gems which we can found if we know how to properly surf the Internet. I have discovered new bands in a music social networking site called "Last.fm". The site itself has a lot of flaws, but you can disover new bands and artists there. To sum up, there are a lot of great modern bands waiting to be discovered. Not everything is Metallica and One Direction! (for example). Some great not very-known bands are Anathema, Die Happy, Bathory, Eisbrecher...You should try to surf the web more if you love music!
See you soon!

Description in a Paragraph: Oz Vessalius
Oz Vessalius is one of the most interesting manga characters I've ever seen. He has a happy-go-lucky personality, but he can care about problems if necessary. Also, he's always trying to save his friends, even if one of them is his own servant. His most significant physical feautre are his deep green eyes, which are the main feature of the Vessalius family. To sum up, he has a very strong sense of justice and I really adore him because he always has a smile on his face, even if he has a lot of problems.

My favorite place in the world: Playa Honda
My most favorite place in the world is where I pass my summer holidays, a little place called Playa Honda, which is near La Manga in Cartagena. I've been passing my summer holidays there with my parents since I was a kid.
I live in a little three-feet building, and you can go to the beatch by feet because is very near. I also have a nice swimming pool which we share with another building. The place is full of apartments and convenient sites (a supermarket and restaurants, for example).
Also, there's two parks, and one is very closer to my house. They used to celebrate the town's parties a few years ago (when I was a little). I used to go hang out with some people there. You can have a nice walk to the beach because there's not a lot of cars.
To sum up, Playa Honda is a nice place to visit, because you can also go to La Manga without a lot of effort. You can get there by feet. But the beach is very nice and you can have a great day because in Playa Honda sometimes we have good weather (at least in Summer).

Pandora Hearts
Today's entry is about one of my favorite manga: Pandora Hearts.
Written and drawn by Jun Mochizuki and published monthly on the Square-Enix G-Fantasy Magazine, Pandora Hearts is a complex series full of plot twists, revelations, action and a lot of character developement.
It's a manga very hard to explain without spoiling it, so I'll write a simple summary:
The story is set in a 19th century-like setting, and starts with the coming-of-age ceremony of Oz Vessalius, a 15-year boy who is the heir of the Vessalius family. In the middle of the ceremony, he's attacked by strangers and he's sent to the Abyss, which is a like a prison that it's imposible to escape from. His sin is his own existence. When he arrives there he mets a girl named Alice who says that she know how to leave that place. Then, he makes a contract with her (she's a chain, a chain is part of the contract, the contratist can summon the chain and attack) and they're able to use the Black Rabbit Power (she's called "B-Rabbit").
(I can't go further because I would end writing the entire story)
An interesting thing about this manga it's that it has a lot of Alice in Wonderland references. For example, some chains are named "Mad Hatter" and "The Queen of Hearts".
MAIN CHARACTERS
And other important characters:
Jack Vessalius |
Glen Baskerville |
Vincent Nightray |
Echo |
I really like the story, setting and characters. At first, they have simple personalities, but as the story goes on, the author starts to develop their thoughts and actions. Also, I really like the Victorianesque setting mixed with fantasy. It's just amazing!
And to end, the other day I was reading it on my way to university, and when I read one of the manga's most memorable moments I nearly cried. The author was so rutless to kill one of the best characters in the entire manga.
The manga will end next month, and I don't know if I'll be able to handle the situation. There's a lot of things that need to be explained, so I hope that it will have an amazing ending!
Thanks for your reading! ^_^

I got a new computer!
All started last Thursday. When I was picked up by my mother and my sister, they said that they had a surprise for me. When we reached home, it was that I would get a new computer. Yesterday, I finally got it.
Isn't it beautiful?
I also got a microphone, a 16-GB pendrive and a new screen. I still have to fix the computer's wifi problems (you have to buy an extra gadget to get wifi on a desktop computer) but in all other aspects it works great.
Finally I'll be able to do what I want on my own computer without limitations! Also, an interesting fact: my computer is custom made, they bought it in a computer store that it's near home, not in a mall for example. The owner (I think it's the owner) put every part together (the graphic cards, the USB parts, the tower itself...).
See you next water time! (most of you won't pick the reference, I know)
